I deal with aggression, fear, phobias

Dealing with aggressive displays or extreme fears of our pets is a heavy burden.

Living in our modern world present dogs with lots of daily stressors in their environment, which can increase over time and cause frustration, anxiety, fear, and ultimately lead to aggressive behavior as an outlet. Dogs are restricted in their movement and in their ability to make healthy choices and be in control of their own bodies and free will. This is often the root of aggressive behavior.

Maison Dog Academy's mission is to help committed pet owners in understanding the underlining motives of their pets' behavior and to define a behavioral modification plan, providing new learning patterns, enrichment, and changing conditions to create new habits.

Initial Behaviour Assessment

During our initial behavior consultation, I will be gathering a detailed history about your dog, discuss important concepts to help you better understand your dog's behavior, and help you set realistic expectations.

We will also be reviewing information about how dogs learn and providing you with tips on how to maximize success with the training. Most importantly, I will work with you to develop a specific plan for moving forward and provide you detailed instructions for your immediate next steps.

The number of follow up sessions (private training) varies on your goals and needs! We can meet once so you can have your questions answered, or we can meet several times to work through the behavior modification plan needed to meet your goals.

Private Training

When dealing with aggression and reactivity cases, private training is the most suitable option.

The majority of cases require multiple work sessions  in order to guide you through the process and to see meaningful improvement.

These sessions follow the Initial Behaviour Assessment and are where the "work" gets done.

Your involvement in the training process will be critical to your pet's overall success. Training involves many technical and observational skills that evolve with quality practice and repetition, much like learning to play an instrument.
